BEEKEEPING FOR BEGINNERS

We will run more days in early Summer 2011

Bees, flowers and man have shared a long and bountiful history. Cotswold apiarist Tanya Hawkes will teach us about the life cycle of the humble but wonderful bee, how to set up your own hives, and how to harvest a sustainable honey crop.

It will be a hands-on one day course and Tanya will bring her own bees, and protective clothing for us all. 

She will discuss the merits of various types of equipment and by the end of this fascinating day you should be confident enough to start keeping your own bees.
